We don’t need any legislative changes to make progress as we can work within our existing organisations to strengthen partnership working, further develop services and improve effectiveness and efficiency.

This builds on our well-established way of developing new services, such as extensive care. Here, clinical and non-clinical colleagues from many different organisations came together – leaving their organisational baggage behind – to pool their skills and knowledge to develop a fantastic service with the patient at the centre.
